This conference, on 19-20 November 2010 in London, will be a major gathering for all teachers, teacher trainers, researchers, policy-makers and media professionals interested in teaching and learning about the media. Media Education Wales has just published two new resources for teaching about film and film-making. Filmsense is a cross-platform interactive introduction to film language, and Editsense is a DVD-ROM of short films for students to edit. For more information visit editsense.blogspot.com. |

The interim Digital Britain report was published by the UK Government on 29 January. The report contains more than 20 recommendations, including that Ofcom should work with the BBC and others to "recommend a new definition and ambition for a National Media Literacy Plan".
